Gloriana

Gloriana, an old wooden schooner, suffered rotted frames and was in need of repair before sailing on the Bay again. The rotted wood was removed and replacement pieces were carefully selected, cut to fit and caulked. As an amateur boat craftsman, the proud owner of Gloriana was encouraged to help out during the process. From applying penetrating epoxy to bedding down the boat’s name letters, she played an important role in fixing her schooner. Work continued through December’s near-freezing temperatures, with a little help from a few heat lamps running through the night. Soon, Gloriana was repaired and ready to set sail again.
